wind will blow through

It is 2 am in the morning. I am sitting on my bed tugged under my blankie with my dog sleeping in it writing my little story of myself onto here. It has been so long since I have been updating my blog. Blog has become a tool to tell your friends or any readers about your life. We are so engaged with our individual lives that our time is slipping past silently without our knowledge. I have been in Melbourne for two and a half years already.

I can still hear the laughter and talking of people who have just finished from chilling out with their friends from the bars and pubs echoing from downstair. I am accompanied by the rain which hit against my window panels like the wind whistling. The weather is not as cold as yesterday. It has been 4 degree Celsius for the past few days. I am thankful to Lord for the beautiful sun. I still remember how much I hate the sun when I was a kid. I am probably contained in the culture in Singapore belonging to the group who is afraid of getting tan. I appreciate the sun and love the sun more over in Melbourne probably as we do not get as much sun as in Singapore. I have been having trouble sleeping. It must be my late night sleepless night from university life as an architecture student. I must adapt to my proper sleeping time from 10pm-8.30am. This is the one perfect thing I have learned from the Aussie over here in Melbourne. I enjoy the culture to drink wine/ beer session every weekend to relax with your friends.

Gilbert and KK are the chefs today. They cook sumptuous Risotto and Fried Yee Mee respectively. The risotto is saturated with nice garnished mushroom and bright yellow parmesan cheese. It is an exasperating effort of 45 minutes of stiring the big wok of risotto to get the right texture of it but it is all worthwhile. The mushroom with the risotto just melt in your mouth when you put a silver spoon of risotto into your mouth. The fried yee mee is fantastic with fresh taste of the prawn, chicken and egg. It tastes exactly like the one from the stall near my neighborhood in Singapore. I have made almond jelly with longan and fruits as dessert. It is a nice and pleasant dinner with them, Adrain, Ant, Wei and Anqi before they head to Sydney tomorrow. I have to complete my group chair design proposal for Melbourne Central by Monday, I would really like to see the final product of it using other recycled materials rather than cardboard. I am planning to bring my dogs out for a walk with Wei to the carnival on Sunday. I believe it has been so long since the dogs have gone out for a walk.

I looked back in time all the time everyday. I have nothing to seek for anything more now as I am really contented. My taste bud for all the food which I have ever tasted are adapting to the change gradually. I still do have the ability to know really bad crappy food even though I am adapting to the changes. Adapting to different places’ culture and weather has been part of my life. I must learn to adapt back to Singapore’s culture and weather for my next holiday. I have a bunch of good friends and family over here and back in Singapore which I really do care for them even though I never spelled it out. I believe my story of my life is meant to share with my good friends as they meant a lot to me.  Good night.
